Man Fatally Struck By Train At Carlsbad Village Station

CARLSBAD, CA — A man was fatally struck Monday by a train at the Carlsbad Village Station.

The Amtrak Surfliner train was traveling at about 84 mph and passing through the station when the man was struck around 9:20 a.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was not immediately identified.
