Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Pickup Truck On I-5 In Carlsbad

CARLSBAD, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday morning in a crash on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad, authorities said.

The crash, involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle, was reported shortly before 6:50 a.m. on southbound I-5 near Las Flores Drive, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, a CHP dispatcher said.

No details about the victim or the other driver were immediately available.

The circumstances leading up to the crash were under investigation.
