Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With SUV In Carlsbad
The 25-year-old rider from Kentucky was ejected from the motorcycle.
CARLSBAD, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash over the weekend in Carlsbad, authorities said.
The crash happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4500 block of Carlsbad Boulevard, according to the Carlsbad Police Department. The rider of a Kawasaki motorcycle was speeding southbound on Carlsbad Boulevard when he crashed into the back of a Chevy SUV, witnesses told police.
The 25-year-old man from Kentucky was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name was withheld pending family notification.

The driver of the SUV, a 28-year-old man from Oceanside, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
The cause of the collision remained under investigation, but alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash, police said.
