Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train In Carlsbad
The deadly collision happened near the Poinsettia Station in Carlsbad.

CARLSBAD, CA – A Coaster train struck and killed a pedestrian Monday in Carlsbad.
The deadly collision happened around 8:15 a.m. near the Poinsettia Station at 6511 Avenida Encinas, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's deputies were not immediately able to provide information on the victim.

The Poinsettia Station was closed, according to North County Transit. A bus bridge was established for Coaster passengers from Encinitas Station to Oceanside Transit Center while authorities investigated the incident.
