Police Find Man Unresponsive, Fatally Wounded In North County

OCEANSIDE, CA — A man died Thursday after being shot in the John Landes Park.

Oceanside Police officers found a 27-year-old man unresponsive. He had been shot at the park located at 2855 Cedar Road around 12:20 a.m., the department reported.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

OPD detectives were investigating the incident.
