Police Shut Down 4 Carlsbad Massage Parlors In Prostitution Probe
Detectives served eight search warrants during the investigation, leading to seven arrests and the seizure of $35,477, police said.
CARLSBAD, CA — Four Carlsbad massage parlors that engaged in prostitution were shut down following a six-month investigation, police said.
The closed businesses include Ocean Mist Massage on Carlsbad Boulveard, Happy Shiatsu Spa on Jefferson Street, Imperial Massage Spa on Grand Avenue and King Spa on Gateway Road, according to the Carlsbad Police Department.
Detectives served eight search warrants during the investigation, leading to seven arrests and the seizure of $35,477, according to the department.

Police said the investigation began after business owners and community members raised concerns. The department worked with code enforcement officials and the city attorney's office.
