Meet Barbara Ramos.

Article by

Barbara Ramos exemplifies the world-class commitment to which Carlsbad Unified aspires, day in and day out. She’s spent thousands of days serving the District; in fact, she has the most longevity of all classified employees. Barbara joined the District in September 1977. She has served at many CUSD schools, with numerous staff and in many capacities and is universally liked and admired, especially by her students. Barbara was named 2009 Classified Employee of the Year.

We caught up with Barbara at Carlsbad Village Academy, where she has served as Administrative Support Assistant for Alternative Education over the past eight years. Many of the kids, including those pictured here, think of her as “our mom at school.”
