Calif. Drivers Among Worst In Country: Report

A new report ranks the best and worst drivers by city. Is your city on the list?

As the most populous state in the country, California certainly has the most drivers on its roads. Commuters know that all too well during rush hour. But is the Golden State home to the best or worst drivers?

According to a new report ranking the best and worst drivers by city, California drivers are some of the worst in the country. In fact, the state capital is the capital of bad drivers, as Sacramento topped the list.

QuoteWizard, an online company that compares insurance rates for consumers, looked at the nation’s 75 largest metropolitan areas and ranked them from worst to best. The company used more than two million data points from 2016 in its analysis of the "Best and Worst Drivers By City," according to four categories: accidents, speeding tickets, driving under the influence and other traffic citations.
