San Marcos Man Drowns In Colorado River
Officials extended condolences to the victim's family.
SAN MARCOS, CA — A man from San Diego County lost his life in an apparent accidental drowning in the Colorado River, authorities said.
Kristopher Logan, 26 of San Marcos entered the water from a pontoon boat late Monday morning in an attempt to retrieve a hat that had blown off near Davis Camp Park in Bullhead City, Arizona, according to the Bullhead City Police Department.
Emergency crews responded around 11:15 a.m. after Logan did not resurface, police said. A dive team with the Bullhead City Fire Department recovered Logan's body.

Authorities said the drowning appeared accidental and not suspicious. Logan was not wearing a life jacket.
