Students at Discovery Isle® Preschool Raise More Than $1,300

Students at Discovery Isle Preschool in Carlsbad recently hosted a trike-a-thon and raised more than $1,300 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Students and their families gathered on July 28 to ride bikes, tricycles and scooters around a homemade course in support of St. Jude’s research to treat childhood cancer and other illnesses.

Discovery Isle instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond, working with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
