Teen Shot In North County
The boy was shot as he was walking near a Vista intersection, officials said.

VISTA, CA — A teenager was shot over the weekend in San Diego's North County, and the suspect remained at-large, authorities said.
The shooting happened shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Smilax Road and Mimosa Avenue in unincorporated Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The boy was shot as he was walking near the intersection.
"Deputies arrived at the scene and discovered the male being treated by personnel from the San Marcos and Vista Fire Departments," Lt. George Crysler said.

The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment, Crysler said. He was in stable condition.
