
CARLSBAD, CA – Thousands of customers are without power Tuesday morning as a storm slams San Diego County. San Diego Gas & Electric reported on its outage map that more than 5,000 customers have no power across the county, from Cardiff to Chula Vista.
Locally, a total of 2,379 customers have no power in the North County cities of Encinitas and Carlsbad. The outage started at 6:35 a.m. SDG&E estimates the power will be restored by about 9:30 a.m.
SDG&E is assessing the outage to determine the cause. No other information is currently available.
