Winsor & Newton Names Artist Keiko Tanabe as Brand Ambassador

Celebrated Water Colourist, Plein-Air Painter to Represent Time-Honored Art Material Brand

Strengthening its support of professional and emerging artists across the globe, leading art material supplier Winsor & Newton today announced it will add celebrated water-colour artist and plein-air painter Keiko Tanabe to its exclusive list of brand ambassadors. With more than 85,000 Facebook fans, six self-published books and an adorned history that includes dozens of art accolades and international exhibits, the San Diego-based artist will call upon Winsor & Newton’s quality water colours, gouache, paper and brushes to create her signature and sought-after paintings.

A signature member of the National Watercolor Society, founding member of the North American Watercolor Artists (NAWA) and member of the American Watercolor Society, Tanabe is a self-taught artist renowned for her ability to express the soul, depth, light and atmosphere of destinations across the globe. Since 2008, her work has been displayed in more than 30 exhibits across Asia, Europe and the Americas and has received dozens of awards. She is a native of Kyoto, Japan, has sold her work to private and corporate collectors worldwide, and has taught more than 80 artist workshops to date.
