Gunshots Kill 2 In Castro Valley Home
The bodies were found Wednesday after a relative asked officers to perform a welfare check at the home.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Two people were found dead of gunshot wounds in a home in the 20500 block of Forest Avenue of Castro Valley Wednesday morning, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. Investigators are trying to determine if the people died as a result of murder-suicide, or if this is a double murder. For now, it is being treated as a double murder.
Sheriff's Spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly reports, "An autopsy and further crime scene analysis may change this circumstance."
The names of the victims have not been released

The sheriff's office received a call at about 10:15 a.m. from a relative requesting a welfare check and deputies found the pair dead inside a detached guest house, Kelly said.
The people who died are a male and female, Kelly said.
