Amber Alert Suspect: Manhunt Underway

The victim has been recovered, but law enforcement officers are actively searching for the alleged kidnapper.

An Amber Alert issued for Northern California has been canceled after the victim, a 17-year-old girl, was recovered. However, the search for the suspect continues.

Stockton Police issued the Amber Alert for the teen, named Maria Jaar Garcia. According to the Alert, "This morning, at 5:00 am, the suspect violently attacked his girlfriend at his parent's house in 3300 block of Bea Hackman Court. He then forced his girlfriend in a vehicle and fled. He may be headed to Fresno or the San Jose area."

The car that the pair was in was found abandoned off northbound I-5.

The suspect is Alex Quinones, 22. He's 5'10" and weighs 155 lbs. He was last seen wearing no shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

There's no word on the condition of the victim.
