DANVILLE, CA — Coming off a long-awaited "Euphoria" finale, Emmy-winner Zendaya was recently spotted shopping at a Danville bookstore.
A photo posted by Rakestraw Books online shows the Bay Area native holding up two books: "Dune: Messiah" and "The Odyssey." She'll play roles in the highly anticipated movie adaptations of both books.
"Zendaya stopped by to shop and chat books with us!" Rakestraw Books posted online Saturday. "We were thrilled to help her find some good reads and loved getting some recommendations from her!"
"Thank you Zendaya for being so lovely and for your love of books and support of independent bookstores," they added.
Zendaya was born and raised in Oakland, where she attended the Oakland School for the Arts. She got her first big break as Rocky Blue on Disney Channel's "Shake It Up" before becoming one of Hollywood's biggest names.
She's best known for her role as Rue in HBO's Euphoria and Mary Jane in the latest Spider-Man adaptations, where she stars alongside her fiancé, Tom Holland.
Most recently, she appeared in "The Drama," alongside Robert Pattinson.
