Missing East Bay Boy Last Seen Walking To School

HAYWARD, CA — Hayward police are asking for the public's help in finding a 15-year-old boy who was last seen walking to school on Friday.

It's unclear where Jeff Gamez may be headed. Police say he was last seen near Cypress Avenue just before 8 a.m.

Gamez is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, according to the Hayward Police Department.

Police do not know what Gamez was wearing when he was last seen, but said he typically has on a black Puma hat, a hooded sweatshirt of an unknown color, blue jeans, and black-and-white Nike shoes.

"We encourage anyone who may have seen Jeff or who has any additional information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Hayward Police Department at 510-293-7000," police said. "Even information that may seem insignificant could assist with the investigation."
