Bird Paintings On Display In Castro Valley
Have you seen the free exhibit of Rita Sklar's paintings at the Castro Valley Library?
CASTRO VALLEY, CA — If you enjoy birds and you appreciate fine art, the perfect combination is currently on display at the Castro Valley Public Library.
Paintings by award-winning artist Rita Sklar highlight birds of the Bay Area and beyond, including species that are considered threatened.
Sklar told Patch, "I am inspired by the natural world that is around us, and fearful of the damage climate change will exert on our beautiful planet."

The paintings will be on display until April 12.
The library's hours are 12-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday; closed Friday; 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The library is wheelchair accessible. It is located at 3600 Norbridge Ave.
