Blood Drive: Register Now For Next Monday In Castro Valley

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Every two seconds, someone in the US needs a blood transfusion, according to the American Red Cross, but less than 38 percent of our population is eligible to give blood because of age, medical conditions and other factors. That's why it's crucial for people who are eligible to do their part and donate.

Eden Medical Center will host a Blood Drive on Sept. 10, with all members of the community encouraged to participate.

The donation process takes approximately one hour, including a free snack at the end. You can call 1-888-393-4483 to make an appointment.
