Local, Fun, and Free Scavenger Hunt in Castro Valley Every Weekend

Want to play in a free scavenger hunt every weekend right here in Castro Valley?  "Like" the CV Scavengers on Facebook, and you'll get the details of the weekly hunt towards the end of every Friday.   

Castro Valley Scavengers was born out of the love of the hunt. Originating from a temporary game that The Game Alley put on in March 2011. We had so much fun that we wanted to carry it on.

Castro Valley Scavengers holds a weekly scavenger hunt for ALL ages. Clues will be posted to the facebook page every Friday. If your mind and body prevail and you are the first person to find the prize then you are the new Clue Master responsible for hiding and posting the clue(s) for the next weeks hunt!

Scan the CV Scavengers facebook page wall to find out what happened on past hunts.

The hunt will lead you to a $10 gift card

If you find the card you must post your win to the CV Scavengers FB page along with a picture of yourself with the card and where you found it

You are now the next cluemaster responsible for hiding the next gift card next week.

If you are the lucky winner New clue(s) must be posted the following Friday 3PM -5PM

Clues may consist of riddles, pictures, videos, puzzles, sound clips. It's up to you, it's YOUR game! We do recommend that you give a hint the day after you post the clue to give those having trouble some help

Clues and gift cards MAY NOT be hidden on personal residential property (example someones house, backyard, cars.....)

Clues and gift cards MUST BE HIDDEN WITHIN CASTRO VALLEY at a location that is fairly easy for everyone to access on weekends

When hiding or hunting please abide by the rules of your location (e.g., park hours/curfews) We recommend if hiding at a business you ask their permission first

Please be respectful of Castro Valley's property and other scavengers!

You may need to check and make sure your clues are still posted where they need to be in case the hunt lasts all weekend

Outgoing Cluemaster must remove any posted clues around town once the hunt is over

Recommendations:
After finding a gift card, keep it and use it! Purchase a new $10 gift card from a CV merchant if possible ( keep in mind there are young children also involved in the hunt so gift cards should be for all ages )

Before hiding your new card please add a small note: You are the winner of the Castro valley scavenger hunt please take a picture and post to the Castro Valley Scavengers facebook page. Remember you are the new cluemaster for next weeks hunt (or something along those lines) sign or initial it.
