WHAT: Vitality Bowls, Castro Valley’s go-to superfood café known for its açaí bowls, smoothies, juices, salads, and more, is celebrating a major milestone: 10 years as a part of the community. On Saturday, May 16, guests are invited to join the celebration and enjoy a medium açaí bowl for just $10 as a thank-you for their support.
WHY: Since opening its doors in 2016, Vitality Bowls Castro Valley has been on a mission to make healthy, allergy-friendly and convenient eating accessible to the community. Over the past decade, the café has built a loyal following, and the local team is excited to celebrate this milestone with the guests who made it possible.

Reception starts at 6:15 pm, and ceremony at 7:00 pm, followed by a candlelight walk in downtown Castro Valley to remind the public of this unsolved murder and raise awareness of child safety.

Shavuos Bookfest &amp; Annual Meeting with Tri-Valley Cultural Jews
Join Tri-Valley Cultural Jews on Saturday, May 23 in Castro Valley for a warm, welcoming, and distinctly secular celebration of Shavuos. Our annual Shavuos Bookfest is a chance for curious minds of all ages to come together and share something inspiring, whether it is a favorite book, a fascinating idea, a creative project, or something new you have learned this year.
The event begins at 10:30am with Bookfest, followed by our Annual Meeting, where members and friends will help shape the future of our growing community. We have important conversations ahead about the future of TVCJ, and we welcome new voices and fresh ideas.
Lunch will be provided, and guests are encouraged to bring a sweet dessert or favorite dish to share for our festive potluck.
Whether you are culturally Jewish, interfaith, secular, humanist, book-loving, community-seeking, or simply curious, you are welcome here.
