Chabot Baseball Holds Off CSM
Clutch victory over rival Bulldogs puts surging Chabot one game back in Coast-Golden Gate

The surging Chabot baseball team held on for a 10-9 win over rival College of San Mateo on March 16 at Gene Wellman Field and enters the week one game out of first place in the Coast-Golden Gate.
The Gladiators (9-13, 4-2) have won four of their past five games.
After scoring four runs in both the bottom of the seventh and eighth innings to take a 10-4 lead, Chabot survived a five-run CSM uprising in the ninth to prevail.
Gerald Nervis highlighted the seventh with a two-run home run. Jake Simons, who had an RBI walk in the seventh, belted a two-run triple in the eighth. Caleb Millikan had a big game with three RBI.
Chris Tonna gave the Gladiators a quality start, allowing six hits and three runs over 7.2 innings, with eight strikeouts and two walks.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Chabot women’s tennis passed the midpoint of the season in a big way.
On March 14, the Gladiators carved out a tense 5-4 win over Foothill in a battle of unbeatens in the Coast Conference.
Stephanie Huang highlighted the victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Natsumi Masada. Kathleen Berriatua also won in straights sets over Cindy Slain 6-1, 6-2. In doubles, Huang and Lisa Bargeman prevailed 8-1.
Chabot improved to 12-1 overall and 8-0 in conference.
