Gladiators get lots of strong contributions in quality road win; play State No. 1 CCSF tough in loss

Isaiah Veal and Skylar Robinson both had 18 points as the Chabot men’s basketball team took a hard-fought win over host College of San Mateo 97-91 in overtime Monday night.
The Gladiators improved to 2-1 in the Coast-North and 10-5 overall.
Six Chabot players reached double figures in scoring, also including Diggy Winbush (16), Jaiden Rivera (15), David Ogunleye (12) and Isaiah Saams Hoy (10).
Robinson also had seven rebounds and Winbush tacked on five assists and three boards. Ogunleye and Saams Hoy each had five rebounds.
CSM falls to 13-5 overall and 2-2 in conference.

On Jan. 21, Chabot played competitively in a 105-82 loss to visiting State No. 1 City College of San Francisco. Winbush had a team-high 18 points and Robinson added 17 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
