Chabot’s Ahmed Dominates At DVC Meet

Chabot College runner Muhammed Ahmed cruised to a 10-second victory at the Diablo Valley College meet last week.

Chabot shined overall at the George Brooks Invitational on a hilly course at Hidden Valley Park in Martinez, with the individual champion and four in the top 15.

Ahmed had a winning time of 21:35 on a 4.07-mile course, and Daniel Trampe placed third with a time of 21:58. Mason Romant and Logan Phulps finished 14th and 15th.
On the women’s side, Ariana Chavez finished 10th with a time of 20:15 on the 3-mile course, while Angela Tafur had a huge personal best of 21:46.
Next up will be 5 kilometer race under the lights on the Chabot Track this week.
