CHP Seizes Ghost Gun

The gun with an extended magazine was found during a traffic stop.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — California Highway Patrol officers out of the Castro Valley office seized a loaded "ghost gun" with an extended magazine during a recent traffic stop.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was arrested.

"Officers Bonansea and Martin stopped a vehicle for expired registration tabs, which were stolen, on a car that hadn't been registered since 2015," the CHP wrote in a social media post.

The same officers used a spike strip to help other officers stop a fleeing vehicle. The woman driving faced multiple warrants for car theft and evading.
