Cold Case Disappearance: Detective On Case
There's a $50,000 reward in the case of Christine Eastin, who vanished after a night of shopping. Her car was later found abandoned.

HAYWARD, CA — Christine Eastin is gone but not forgotten.
As the 49th anniversary of her disappearance approaches, the Hayward Police Department wants people to know that a detective is assigned to her case.
Eastin vanished after an evening of shopping, and police are asking for any information that might help solve the case. There is a $50,000 reward for anyone who has information leading to a conviction for her disappearance.

Eastin was 19 when she went missing on Jan. 18, 1971. The car she was driving was found at what was then called Charlie's Car Wash at 25400 Mission Blvd.
Police suspect foul play in Eastin's disappearance and ask anyone with information to contact Detective Sprague at 510-293-7176.
