CVHS Trojans Defeat Moreau on Senior Day
Thursday was the last regular season home game for the Varsity team, so it was 'Senior Day' at the ballpark. That's a good thing!

Thursday was the last regular season home game for the Varsity team, so it was ‘Senior Day’ at the ballpark.
There was an emotional pre-game ceremony for the Seniors and their parents, and the smiles seemed to set the tone for the game. Indeed the boys were all smiles as they scrambled across home plate, defeating the visiting Moreau Mariners 7 to 3.
Luke Lederman started the game and allowed only 3 hits, then Brendan Maldonado came in to relieve him in the middle innings.

A handful of underclassmen helped out with relief, with Scott Nunnery closing it out in the 7th. Offensively Matt Narahara, Jake Giuntoli and Mark Engler all had doubles, while Cody Bacho, Josh Egan and Lederman all singled.
Defensively Mike Barakat made a sweet leaping catch at second base.
