CVSan’s Textile Collection Week Results
A grand total of 34,020 pounds of textiles was collected and diverted from the landfill!
Castro Valley Sanitary District’s (CVSan’s) second Textile Collection Week was a huge success! During June 1st – 5th, CVSan residents set out bagged textiles at the curb for collection by Alameda County Industries (ACI) on their regular collection day. A grand total of 34,020 pounds of textiles was collected and diverted from the landfill! Kudos to the CVSan community for responsibly discarding your textiles, which will be distributed for resale and recycling.
