UPDATE: September 14, 2020 at 9:02 a.m.

The Sheriff's Office has completed their investigation and all sites have been cleared and deemed safe.

Please note that today only, September 14th lunches will NOT be served at Castro Valley Elementary and Independent Elementary.

Please visit Castro Valley High School, Creekside Middle, Marshall Elementary or Proctor Elementary.

Dear Families,

On August 30th, we informed you of an email threat that was sent to some of our school sites as well as many others in the County. We notified you that law enforcement informed us that the threat was not credible.

This weekend, three of our schools (CVE, Vannoy, Independent) received a similar threatening message. Per our protocols, the District contacted the Sheriff’s Office immediately. The Sheriff's Office is in the process of completing their investigation; therefore, out of abundance of caution, the three above schools will be conducting all business remotely on Monday. Distance learning will continue as usual.
