Deputies Investigate Homicide in Castro Valley

CASTRO VALLEY, VA - The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in Castro Valley, according to the Public Information Officer, Sgt. Ray Kelly. He reports that the victim, a man in his late 20s, was shot in the head.

The victim was found Sunday night in the parking lot of a building in the 19800 block of Lake Chabot Rd. He died Monday morning at Eden Medical Center.

Sgt. Kelly says that the victim was with two other men in the parking lot when one of them shot the victim. Both of the other men ran away. Investigators have contacted one of the men, who is cooperating with the probe.
