40% of the world population has no shoes. The Club Soles for Souls at Castro Valley High School is hosting a barefoot mile event on May 20 from 2:30-6:00 at the athletic stadium. Bring a pair of new or gently worn shoes to donate, and walk a mile around the track barefoot, in observance of those who go through life without a single pair of shoes. The shoes will be donated to kids in Mexico through a missionary group. Come donate and walk a mile in their shoes.
