The Bay Area is home to a wonderful array of bird life. In this class, we'll not only learn in the classroom, we'll also enjoy field trips in the East Bay and beyond.
Spring emphasis will be on reproduction, including photoperiodism (the physiological reaction of organisms to the length of day or night), courtship, nesting, egg production, and care of young. We'll also look at the vocalization of birds during this season, and conduct bird identification. Outings will give us an up close and personal view of the bay area's birds.
For adults 55+ up, registration is $36; non-seniors may enroll in this class for $60.
