This class will focus on planning a funded, revocable trust and will cover such topics as:
- Selection of trustee and alternate trustees
- Special trustees
- Funding of trust to avoid probate
- Managing of trust during incapacity
- Inheritance provisions
Attendance in the previous overview class is strongly recommended but not required.
This class is taught by James J. Phillips, a certified specialist in estate planning, probabate, and trust law with over 30 years of experience. A Castro Valley native and CVHS grad ('72), he holds an LL.M. post-graduate law degree in taxation, and has received the highest rating (AV) of professional excellence by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory since 1990.
