First Aid Class - American Heart Association

Do you know what to do in an emergency situation? This intensive 5-hour American Heart Association First Aid class provides complete first aid and safety skills, enabling you to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries or sudden illness.

You'll learn how to identify and care for a a variety of medical emergencies, including severe bleeding, shock, musculoskeletal injuries and other sudden illnesses, as well as how to reduce the risk of disease transmission while providing care. This course meets OSHA standards for first aid.

Class size is limited to 18 students. Book is required; purchase before class. Prerequisite: you must have a current CPR card.

We will also offer a CPR course (American Heart Association) on May 5. This course uses the same textbook at our First Aid class.
