Free Writing Workshop For Youth

The Castro Valley Educational Foundation will hold a free writing workshop February 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the .

The workshop will cover poetry, non-fiction, fiction and how to get published. It is especially geared to middle-school and high-school age students.

The event is free and the public is welcome to attend.

Published authors and writers who will be leading the discussion include Castro Valley English teacher, Tina Johansson; Amy Franklin-Willis, author of The Lost Saints of Tennessee; Matt Johanson, author of Game of My Life and Yosemite Epics who is also a journalism teacher at Castro Valley High School; poet, Shannon Pace; Mathilde A. Schmidt, author of Happiness A Matter of the Mind and Virginia Degner, author of Without Consent.
