Health & Fitness Classes for Active Adults 55+ - Start April 16

Castro Valley Adult and Career Education offers a wide range of health and fitness classes for active adults 55+. Classes include:

  • Fitness for Active Adults: stretching, low impact aerobic dancing, and strength training. (moderate/strenuous workout)
  • Nice and Easy Movement: slower-paced exercise class with lots of chair exercises, stretching, low impact aerobic dangin, and strength training with light weights. (moderate workout)
  • Fitness and Relaxation: stretching, earobic strength training with weights, and a yoga workout seated in a chair (moderate/strenuous workout)
  • Wild Goose Qigong: slow-movement exercise and gentle stretching.
  • Senior Nutrition/Activity Program: class includes Spectrum's Fall Prevention and Balance Exercise class (free). Students then work on project of choice such as needlepoint, card making/stamping, and knitting/crochet/sewing/applique. A nutritional lunch is available for a small fee, with reservation.
