This golf tournament honors John F. Ryan who grew up in San Lorenzo and graduated from San Lorenzo High in 1978. He touched all his friends and family with his Irish wit and his random acts of kindness, and his tournament continues to do so by donating proceeds to "Reins in Motion" ranch in Livermore which offers therapeutic horseback riding lessons to disabled children.
