They are able shop for free at the thrift store for clothes for job interviews and school as well as items to furnish a new place to live after graduation. Proceeds from the thrift store directly support the women and children at Shepherd’s Gate by providing care, safety, education and encouragement as they rebuild their lives. This is accomplished through no-cost school and community programs for over 300 Oakland youth each year. Performing Company members from Prescott, where the program began, perform and make appearances at as many as 40 Bay Area events each year.
