Mr. Lewis, Principal of Marshall Elementary promised the entire school population he would do something special if they met their STAR testing goal.
Just before the STAR assessments, students were able to identify their goal for this years testing period. We encouraged the students to "Rock the Star" and to set their goal by: 1. DRUMMING up confidence. 2. BEATING Stress. 3. TUNING in to one question at a time. 4. NOTING the directions.
After the STAR testing period, students self reflected on whether they achieved their goal and were able to vote on what they wanted Mr. Lewis to do. The votes were counted and most students wanted Mr. Lewis to be Taped to the Wall!
