Parent Workshop On Recreation Programs For Children With Special Needs

A free workshop for parents about recreation programs for children with special needs will be held January 26 at 6 p.m. in San Leandro. (Call the number at the bottom of this event announcement to determine the workshop location.)

The event is being sponsored by The Community Advisory Committee which is comprised of residents from area school districts who provide input in the planning and operation of special education within those districts. It also provides parent education and encourages public involvement in the development and review of special education plans.

Each year The Community Advisory Committee hosts Excellence in Education Awards.  Those awards will be presented in Castro Valley on April 26, 2012. Nomination forms will be available in February.
