Learn about little devices that make life a lot easier for seniors -- free workshop
In this free workshop, Karen Marshall -- also known as The Gadget Lady -- will demonstrate many "adaptive" gadgets available to make life easier for seniors. She'll show you a variety of helpful devices including grippers that help open jars and medicine bottles more easily, safe and easy-to-use can openers, listening devices, and magnification tools for reading.
Karen Marshall is the assistive technology coordinator at Community Resources for Independent Living (CRIL) in Hayward. She also runs the center's device lending library, which has more than 160 handy assistive devices available to borrow. For more information about CRIL, visit http://www.cril-online.org/
