Sheriff's office employees collected money for the Special Olympics last month.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Employees of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office took to the streets of Castro Valley on June 3 and 4 to raise money for Special Olympics Northern California.
Both sworn and professional staff volunteered for Badges with Buckets. Together they raised $22,211 in one weekend.
"We want to thank community members, volunteers and Rowell's Saddlery & Western Wear for helping to make this a successful fundraising event," the Sheriff's office said in a social media post.
