Hayward Homicide: Man Shot to Death in Driveway

HAYWARD, CA — Police in Hayward this morning are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that left one person dead.

Officers with the Hayward Police Department responded at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday to the 1700 block of B Street on a report of a shooting.

Police located one man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second gunshot victim arrived at the hospital, police said. His condition was not immediately available.

Police said it appears the first victim was killed when a vehicle he was in was shot at as it was pulling into a driveway.

The shooting death marks the 10th homicide in Hayward this year, according to police.
