Headfirst Gamers 17U Tournament Win
Headfirst Summer Ball team travels to Reno and wins it all.

The Headfirst Gamers 17U Summer Ball team traveled to Reno for a long hot weekend of baseball in the 2011 Muckdogs 4th of July Tournament.
The tourney featured 12 strong teams in two divisions, each one hoping to make it to the final round Sunday afternoon.
The Gamers played seven tough games over four days, losing only one on a controversial play at the plate (the umpire said he was safe, we tactfully disagreed) to come up against the undefeated Northwest Royals late Sunday.

The Royals didn't stay undefeated very long as the fired-up 17U team brought out the fireworks a bit early and beat their opponents 6-2 to take home the Championship Trophy.
After the win, head coach Drew Lonsdale reminded the boys: "It's not the win but the journey you will remember."
