'Justin Bieber Look-Alike' Tries To Kidnap Woman In East Bay: Police

Two Good Samaritans helped free the victim from the suspect's restraint.

HAYWARD, CA — Police on Monday are asking for the public's help in finding a "Justin Bieber look-alike" who tried to kidnap a woman in Hayward on Friday afternoon.

The woman was walking northbound near Soto Road and Jackson Street around 3:15 p.m. on Friday when she and the suspect walked past each other, according to the Hayward Police Department.

The suspect suddenly grabbed the woman and dragged her about 15 to 20 feet, police said.

As the woman screamed and struggled to break free from the suspect, two Good Samaritans jumped in and saved her, police said.

The victim wasn't physically injured from the incident, and the suspect ran off, police said. The suspect was last seen going southbound on Soto Road, police added.

The victim told police that the suspect looked like the Canadian pop sensation. Police said the suspect is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 120 pounds, with bushy thin eyebrows and "unique-colored eyes."

The suspect was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with red paint, black pants, and a black crossbody bag, police said.
