Lake Chabot's Skyline 50k Race Registration Open
Register before July 1 to pay early-bird rate for this annual race being held August 12 in Castro Valley
The Annual Skyline 50k Ultra Endurance Race takes place this year August 12 at 7 a.m. starting at the in Castro Valley.
Registration for the event is now open. On-line registration is $65 before July 1, $75 from July 1 to August 9 and $100 the day of the race. To register on-line go here. You can go here to print a registration form and submit it via mail. For registration questions, call 510-705-3630.

Sponsors of this year's event include North Face, Zombie Runner, Sports Basement, Gu Energy Gel, and Ultra Running Magazine. Clubs which have endrosed the race include the Hayward Radio Club and Pacific Striders
The race route is on East Bay Regional Park trails winding from Lake Chabot Marina to the Skyline Gate and coming back along the Skyline National Recreation Trail. Click here to see more course details.

There willl be a barbecue following the event at Lake Chabot. According to event organizers, "Chef Phil Brown will repeat his now famous feat of roasting a pig in a wheelbarrow. This is a family friendly barbecue with a menu that also includes hamburgers, hots dogs and a vegetarian option."
