Learn To Teach Laughing Yoga Oct. 6 & 7

Certified Laughter Yoga trainer, Lydia Gonzales, will be presenting an intensive two day Laughter Yoga Leader Training class in Castro Valley October 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The actual location of the class has not yet been announced, but it will be held in Castro Valley. It will be geared to those who want to learn how to teach Laughter Yoga to others. 

The class will provide a thorough overview of the practice of Laughter Yoga including its history, the theory behind it, its benefits and practical applications, according to Gonzales.

Gonzales, herself, trained in the practice in 2003 and has been leading Laughter Yoga groups throughout the region and beyond since. You can read more about her here.

She says, "The Mission of Laughter Yoga is to promote health and world peace through laughter.

The standard cost of the training is $295. (There are some discounts available for groups of 6 or more people and non-profits.)

Gonzales says the leadership training class is for anyone who would like to add more laughter into their life but is especially beneficial for those such as health care professionals, social workers, activity and recreation therapists, entertainers, elder care workers, marriage and family therapists, sales professionals, communicators, teachers and those leading groups of all sorts.

In addition to leaving the class with handouts and materials for future reference, participants will receive a certificate of having completed the course.
