Man Shoots At Officer At BART Station: Police
The suspect missed the cop, but did hit the occupied Hayward station agent booth, officials said.

HAYWARD, CA – A man allegedly shot at a police officer in Hayward BART station before he was arrested on train tracks Wednesday evening, police reported.
Police first received calls about a man shooting into the air near the 23000 block of Alice Street. A witness told police the man ran in the direction of the downtown Hayward BART station.
Hayward police tried to contact the man at the station when he allegedly pointed his gun at a sergeant, shot one time, missed and hit an occupied station agent booth.

BART officials said the reports of shots fired came in at 7:28 p.m. in the BART station's address, 699 B Street.
The suspect ran north from the BART station and discarded a loaded gun, according to police. He was detained on the train tracks at B Street and police said they recovered the gun.

Police are not releasing the suspect's name or photo until they complete interviews in the ongoing investigation.
