Meet Rick Barry in Hayward Sunday

Hayward, CA - NBA Hall-of-Famer Rick Barry will be at the Grand Opening Celebration of the new Dick's Sporting Goods store in Hayward Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The Warriors great was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in the history by the NBA in 1996, to mark the 50th anniversary of the league.

Barry led the Warriors to the NBA crown in 1975.

The Grand Opening Celebration also includes giveaways--the first 100 adults in line will receive a free Mystery Gift Card ranging in value from $5 to $500, with one person winning the $500 card. Children ages 6 to 15 may participate in the Ready, Set, Roll! Challenge at 9:30 a.m. The skill challenge includes strength, agility and speed. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the challenge.

The new Dick's Sporting Goods is located at Southland Mall, 549 Southland Mall, Hayward, 94545.

This is the 43rd Dick's Sporting Goods store in California.
