Meth, Loaded Revolver Found In Car: Police
A Hayward man was arrested after Livermore police said they found a loaded gun and methamphetamine in his car.
LIVERMORE, CA — A 49-year-old Hayward man was arrested in Livermore on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and possessing a controlled substance while armed, Livermore police said.
On Wednesday night, Livermore officers saw a vehicle with an expired registration in a parking lot on Portola Avenue, the department said. Police say the driver allowed them to search his car, where they reportedly founded a loaded revolver and 10 grams of methamphetamine.
The driver, Macedonia Chavez of Hayward, was arrested on suspicion of drugs and firearm violations and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
